It started with childhood forts and a first job building whole houses
Long before he held a contractor’s license, Jonathon Wilkinson was a kid with a hammer, building forts. Working out how the pieces fit together was the part he loved, and it stayed with him. When high school ended, he went straight to work for a family that built houses from the ground up.
That job became his real education in building. Working beside people who took a house from its foundation to move-in day, he learned each stage in order, from framing through the finish work everyone notices. Somewhere along the way, building stopped feeling like a paycheck and became his calling.
With more than 25 years in the trades behind him, Jonathon formed JACCO Builders LLC in 2021. Today the company works out of Cottontown, in Sumner County, and he runs it the way he learned the work: the owner involved on every job, the plan written down, and the house left clean each evening.
What the JACCO name stands for
Jonathon put the JACCO name together himself, combining his own name with his wife’s and his daughter’s. His family is on every van that pulls into a client’s driveway and on every contract the company signs.
He chose it to reflect a commitment to relationships, starting with his own, and as a reminder that a remodel is personal for the people living through it. A family name is a hard thing to hide behind.

Full home remodels, bathrooms, decks and additions
Those four lines are lettered on the company vans, and they are a fair summary of the work. Kitchens, custom carpentry, guest houses and outdoor living come from the same crew.
Bathrooms

Full home remodels

Additions
New square footage that reads as part of the original house, from bedroom suites to screened porches, with the foundation, framing, roof tie-in and interior finishes managed as a single project.
Decks and porches
Composite and wood decks, multi-level stairs and railings, and covered porches built for everyday use. Most decks need a permit; we confirm the requirement while preparing your bid and handle the application.
Four habits behind every JACCO project
None of this is complicated. It is simply done on every job, whatever its size.
The scope is written before the price
Each bid follows a visit to the house and rests on a written scope of work that lists what is included and what is not. You are agreeing to something specific, and so are we. The full sequence is explained in our five-stage process.
You always know what comes next
Jonathon stays involved from the first walk-through to closeout. You know who is coming to the house and on which day, and if something changes, you hear it from us along with the new plan.
The house is protected, and tidied daily
Floors and furnishings near the work are covered before tools come in, dust is contained, and the work area is cleared before anyone goes home. It is a standard, not a favor.
The punch list gets finished
At the end, you walk the work with Jonathon and write down anything that is not right. The job closes when that list is done, and if a small issue surfaces afterward, he wants to hear about it.
The people who do the work
Carpenters, tile setters and painters on JACCO’s own crew carry out most of each project, and licensed partners are brought in for specialty trades. The aim is a short list of familiar faces in your home rather than a new set of strangers every week. You can meet them on our team page.
