Same standards, different paperwork
A bathroom in Franklin and one in Cottontown are built to the same standard, but the projects are not identical. The permit comes from a different office, the lots and housing stock differ, and some neighborhoods add HOA or historic design review on top. JACCO plans for those differences while preparing the bid instead of discovering them halfway through the job.
Each town page focuses on one service in one place, so what you read applies to your kind of house rather than a generic one. If you are not sure which page fits your project, call (615) 674-8642 and describe it, or start with the full list of services.
Cottontown and unincorporated Sumner County
Cottontown is JACCO’s home base: unincorporated, north of Nashville and close to Gallatin and White House. Houses here run from older farmhouses to newer homes on generous rural lots, and many depend on a well and a septic system, which shapes any project that moves plumbing or adds space. Sloped ground often brings decks, drainage and retaining walls into the conversation. Permits for this work come through Sumner County.

Franklin
Franklin, the Williamson County seat, mixes historic houses close to downtown with established subdivisions and recent construction. One project there may mean working carefully around old plaster, the next a full update of a newer floor plan. The City of Franklin issues building permits, and exterior changes to a home in one of its historic districts may require design review first. JACCO checks that during the bid.

Brentwood
Brentwood, between Nashville and Franklin, is a city of established neighborhoods and generous lots. Many of its houses were built between the 1970s and the 2000s, and their original kitchens, baths, decks and windows are often ready for a full renovation instead of a cosmetic update. The City of Brentwood issues permits, and some neighborhoods add HOA architectural review for exterior work, which JACCO builds into the schedule.

West Nashville
West Nashville takes in neighborhoods such as The Nations, Sylvan Park, Charlotte Park, West Meade and Bellevue on the city’s west side, in Davidson County. Bungalows and cottages from the early 1900s stand beside newer infill houses, and lots are often narrow, sloped or both, so privacy and drainage take planning. JACCO’s West Nashville pages cover outdoor work: outdoor kitchens, hardscaping, pavers and retaining walls, permitted through Metro Nashville where required.

Hendersonville, Gallatin and nearby communities
Because JACCO is based in Cottontown, much of Sumner County is close to home. Hendersonville, Gallatin, White House, Goodlettsville and Portland do not have their own pages on this site yet, but homeowners there are welcome to get in touch about a project.
In incorporated cities, permits may come from the city’s own building department rather than from Sumner County, so JACCO confirms which office applies to your address during the bid. Otherwise, the process and the standards are the same as anywhere else we work, from the first visit through the final punch list and closeout.
