A few details help us come prepared.
All fields are required unless marked optional.
From first message to written bid
Three steps, and none of them commits you to anything.
-
Step 1
Jonathon calls you back
After your message or call comes in, Jonathon gets in touch to hear about the project: what you want to change, roughly when, and anything about the house he should know before visiting. It is a short conversation, and it tells both of you whether a site visit makes sense.
-
Step 2
A visit to see the space
At the visit, Jonathon sees the space in person, measures and photographs it, and hears how your household uses the room day to day. Bring your saved photos and your list of questions. This is where the scope starts to take shape, and the consultation is complimentary.
-
Step 3
A written bid to review at your own pace
You receive a written bid built on a defined scope of work, with the price and what it covers spelled out. Review it, ask questions and adjust the scope until it describes the project you want. Work is scheduled only after you approve the contract.
What helps us prepare
None of this is required, but each item makes the first conversation and the site visit more useful.
- Photos of the space as it is today, including the floor and ceiling
- Rough measurements, even approximate ones
- Inspiration images: saved photos, screenshots or magazine pages
- A sense of your budget, even as a broad range
- Your timing, plus any dates the work needs to avoid
- Plans or drawings, if you already have them
- What you know about the house: its age, past repairs, well or septic
- HOA guidelines, if your neighborhood reviews exterior changes
Can I send photos before the site visit?
Yes, and it helps. Email them to jewilkinson@gmail.com with your name, phone number and the town where the project is, along with a few lines about what you want to change. Photos of the whole room, not just the problem spot, give Jonathon the clearest sense of what he will be walking into.
Who should be at the site visit?
Ideally, everyone who will have a say in the decisions. The visit covers how you live in the house as much as measurements, and questions get settled faster when the people deciding are in the room. If the home belongs to a relative or you cannot be there, tell us when you call and we will work out access and a follow-up conversation.
Is my project too small to call about?
Probably not. JACCO takes on work of many sizes, from repairs and single-room updates to whole-home renovations and additions. Describe the job when you get in touch; if JACCO is not the right fit for it, Jonathon will tell you so plainly rather than leave you waiting for an answer.
