One licensed contractor for structural work on Brentwood homes, from additions and porches to garages and rebuilds, with engineering, trades, inspections and the weather managed by a single accountable team.

One contract for the structure and everything around it
Structural projects have more moving parts than they first appear to. An addition or a covered porch involves excavation, concrete, framing, roofing, windows, wiring and finishes, and each trade depends on the one before it being done correctly. Inspections sit between those steps, engineered materials such as beams and trusses have to be ordered well ahead, and deliveries have to arrive in the order they will be used. When different people coordinate those pieces, the gaps between them are where schedules slip and responsibility blurs.
A construction contractor closes the gaps. JACCO Builders holds Tennessee contractor license #79477 and takes responsibility for the whole job: the structural plan, the sequence of trades, ordering and staging materials, scheduling inspections and keeping the site safe. You have one contract, one schedule and one number to call. Jonathon Wilkinson began his career with a family that built houses start to finish, so he knows each stage of a structure firsthand, and he stays involved from the bid to the close.
Weather is the variable a structural project has to plan around. Open framing and exposed subfloor should not sit through repeated rain, so the sequence aims to get a new structure dried in, with sheathing, roof underlayment and temporary protection in place, as soon as practical after the framing goes up. Lumber and trusses are delivered close to when they will be used rather than left on the ground. That kind of planning is the core of the construction contractor’s role, and it shows in the finished building.
What one contractor takes off your plate
- Engineering coordination for beams, footings and spans
- Footings, framing and roofing in the right order
- Trade scheduling from rough-in to finish
- Permits and inspections with the City of Brentwood
- Material ordering, staging and deliveries
- Dry-in and weather protection for open framing
Keeping a Brentwood job site and inspections on track
The City of Brentwood issues building permits for structural work, and inspections typically come at footings, framing and final, with trade inspections in between. JACCO books those visits so the next stage never starts before the last one passes. For exterior construction in neighborhoods with an HOA, architectural review may come before anything else, and its decision can affect materials, colors and placement, so we help prepare the submission early and set the start date around the response.

Do you handle engineering for structural projects?
We coordinate it. When a project needs engineered beams, footings or framing details, such as a wide opening in a load-bearing wall or a long-span porch roof, we bring in a licensed engineer and build to the stamped design. Many smaller projects do not need one. We identify which applies during the bid, so the cost and timing of engineering are in the plan from the start.
What happens if it rains while the framing is open?
Some rain on new framing is normal and does no harm if the wood can dry before it is closed in. The goal is to keep exposure short: the work is sequenced to get sheathing and roof underlayment on quickly, open areas are covered when weather is coming, and moisture in the framing and subfloor is checked before insulation and drywall. Anything soaked long enough to be damaged is replaced rather than covered up.
