Our remodeling process

Bid. Schedule. Build. Punch list. Close.

Five stages, one accountable team. The sequence is the same for a powder room or a fully custom primary suite, because surprises come from skipped steps, not from big projects.

  1. Bid

    Consultation & written bid

We walk the space, listen, measure and photograph. You receive a written bid tied to a clear scope of work: what is included, what it costs, and what could change it.

  2. Schedule · Build

A schedule you can plan around

Selections are settled and materials lined up before demolition. You get a detailed work schedule, your home is protected, and the job site is cleaned at the end of every day.

  3. Punch list · Close

    Finished means finished

We walk the completed room together and write the punch list. The project closes when every item on that list is finished, not before.

Signature service Bathrooms

Luxury bathroom remodeling

Primary baths, built from the studs out.

Most bathroom companies install products. A general contractor builds rooms.

When a primary bath needs a wall moved, a drain relocated or a closet absorbed to make space for a larger shower, that is structural, plumbing and electrical work, and it is where JACCO is most at home. From there the details take over: tile set to a plan, cabinetry built for the room, glass measured after the stone is in. The result is a bathroom that feels as though it was always part of the house.

  • Layout changes & relocated plumbing
  • Walk-in & curbless tiled showers
  • Frameless glass enclosures
  • Freestanding soaking tubs
  • Custom vanities & built-in cabinetry
  • Large-format tile, stone & quartz
  • Heated floors & towel warmers
  • Layered lighting & lit mirrors
Level one

Refined update

The layout stays; everything you see and touch changes. New tile, vanity, fixtures, glass and lighting, finished well beyond builder grade.

Level two

Full renovation

Down to the studs. New plumbing and wiring behind the walls, a custom tiled shower, cabinetry built for the room and a lighting plan, all under one contract.

Level three

Reimagined primary suite

Walls move. Closets become showers. Fully custom suites with investments up to roughly $150,000, always priced from a written scope before work begins.

What we build

Remodeling & construction services

Bathrooms lead our work, but they are rarely the last room we build for a client. As a full-service general contractor, JACCO carries the same crew and the same standard through the rest of the house, and out into the yard.

The name on the work

Meet Jonathon Wilkinson, owner of JACCO Builders

JACCO Builders began as a dream long before it became a company. Jonathon, a lifelong Sumner County resident, grew up hammering nails and building forts, and took his first job out of high school with a family who built homes from the ground up. That is where he learned every stage of a house, from framing to finishing, and where building stopped being a job and became a calling.

The name says the rest. JACCO blends Jonathon's name with those of his wife and daughter, a reminder that every project is personal. More than 25 years into the trade, he still runs the company the same way: clear communication, clean job sites, and craftsmanship he is willing to put his family's name on.

“If value, integrity and expertise are your priorities, we’re the general contractor for you.”

What Middle Tennessee homeowners say

“I love this company. They put a bathroom in for us, and it’s beautiful. My granddaughter said, ‘Nana, you have a magazine bathroom.’ All the men that came to work were so nice and respectful.”
Bethany L. New bathroom · verified HomeAdvisor review
“They redid our extra room and created a master suite for us, including creating a closet and master bathroom. ... There were a couple hiccups, as I’d expect with home renovations, but Jonathon made everything work. I’m extremely pleased with how our house turned out.”
Solon Primary suite, bathroom & basement conversion
“They also remodeled my bathroom, removing a big square tub and installing a tiled shower. ... Jonathon was very good with communication and he and his team were reliable, trustworthy, and priced fairly. He always made sure work appointment times were good for us and continually checked in to see how we were feeling about the work.”
Kate Bathroom remodel & new-build plumbing
“From the first phone call, we had Jonathon’s undivided attention. The project started within a couple of days of our meeting and kept to its schedule over the next couple of months. More remodeling FAQs

How much does a luxury bathroom remodel cost in the Nashville area?

Three things drive the number: whether the layout changes, the level of tile and stone, and how much of the cabinetry is custom. For context, the 2025 Cost vs. Value Report puts an upscale bathroom remodel in Nashville at about $77,600 for a 100-square-foot room. JACCO takes on bathrooms at every level of finish, including fully custom primary suites with investments up to roughly $150,000. Every project is priced from a written scope of work, so you see where the money goes before anything is demolished. Read more about luxury bathroom remodeling.

How long does a high-end bathroom remodel take?

Most of the calendar is decided before demolition: layout decisions, selections, and lead times for custom cabinetry, stone and glass. Once materials are on hand, construction on a primary bathroom is measured in weeks, not days. You receive a detailed work schedule before we start, and you hear from us right away if anything moves.

Do you handle design, material selections and permits?

Yes. We help you plan the layout and guide tile, stone, fixture and cabinetry selections. We also handle permitting: we submit the applications and deal with the local codes office directly. If your project calls for an architect or interior designer, we are glad to build from their drawings.

Are you a licensed general contractor in Tennessee, and why does that matter?

Yes. JACCO Builders LLC is a licensed and insured Tennessee general contractor (license #79477) and a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating. Tennessee requires a state contractor's license for projects of $25,000 or more, a threshold that a full custom bathroom renovation usually crosses. A general contractor can also move walls, drains and wiring under one contract, and that is what separates a true remodel from a surface refresh.

Who will be working in my home?

Jonathon Wilkinson, the owner, is involved in every project, and JACCO's own craftsmen, including carpenters, tile setters and painters, do the core of the work. When a specialty trade is needed, we bring in licensed partners we know and hold them to the same standard. You will know who is coming and when.

Can we live at home during the remodel?

Yes, in most cases. We protect floors and adjacent rooms before demolition, keep the work area contained, and clean up at the end of every day. Clean job sites come up repeatedly in our clients' reviews. If the bathroom being remodeled is the one you use daily, we plan the sequence with you before work begins.

How do estimates, billing and change orders work?

The first consultation and estimate are complimentary. After a site visit you receive a written bid tied to a defined scope of work. Payments follow the schedule set out in your contract, and any change you request is priced and approved in writing before the work happens, so the final number never comes as a surprise.

What are your working hours? Do you work weekends?

Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Saturdays are by appointment, and we are closed on Sunday.

Which areas do you serve?

We are based in Cottontown and work throughout Sumner County, including Hendersonville and Gallatin, as well as Franklin, Brentwood and West Nashville. See all of the areas we serve.
